The Betty White Challenge is a fundraising campaign encouraging people to help support animal welfare organizations, and shelters, by donating in honor of the late, great actress and animal welfare activist Betty White.

The challenge is held on January 17, which would have been White's birthday.

Betty White loved all species of animals. Here she is posing with a cockatoo at an event honoring donors.

Betty White has been a distinguished partner of the Center for decades. Check out a clip from a documentary she did in 1989.
