#GivingTuesday is a global day of doing good. Where people across the world band together to make their communities better places for everyone.
This year, Helen Woodward Animal Center is asking you to help heal hearts by giving love.
From now until 11:59 PM on December 1st, your gift will be DOUBLED, making TWICE the impact for orphan pets in need.
Tiny Kittens. Big Needs.
In recent months, euthanasia rates for kittens under 8 weeks old have sharply increased throughout Southern California. Shelters are being forced to make heartbreaking decisions, euthanizing otherwise healthy kittens simply because they lack the staff, volunteers, space, and financial resources to care for them until they find loving homes.
At Helen Woodward Animal Center, we received a desperate plea for help from a partner in Orange County. Our answer? YES - with open arms and open hearts.
Within two weeks, we welcomed more than three dozen vulnerable baby kittens who would not have survived without our help. Giving these tiny lives a chance takes an enormous, lifesaving effort, from health testing and vaccinations to spay and neuter surgeries, shelter and nourishment. Many arrived sick and needed additional medical treatment before they could begin their journey toward a forever family.
We can only say yes to these kittens and continue to say yes to more because of YOU.
This Giving Tuesday, help us save the tiniest lives. Please consider making a gift to help us provide the medical care, nourishment, shelter, and love these little ones need to survive and thrive. Every kitten deserves a chance.
Donate today and help us turn desperate pleas into second chances. Every dollar you give will be doubled now through 11:59pm on December 1st - up to $100,000 - thanks to the Aqualia Foundation. Together, we can save tiny lives, one kitten at a time.

Gryffin’s Second Chance
At less than 4 months old, Gryffin arrived at Helen Woodward Animal Center in October from a transfer partner, facing a tough start to life. This sweet lab-blend puppy was suffering from demodex, a skin condition caused by microscopic mites that can lead to hair loss, redness, irritation, and uncomfortable skin infections. Unfortunately for Gryffin, he was experiencing all of those symptoms.
His treatment required prescription medication, medicated baths, and ongoing veterinary monitoring. Most importantly, Gryffin needed time, patience, and specialized care to heal – all critical to his recovery, but impossible for many overcrowded and underfunded shelters to provide.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, we were able to give him everything he needed, including something not every puppy in his situation gets: a second chance.
After receiving medical care and spending much-needed time in a loving foster home, Gryffin is now ready for his next adventure: a forever family to share a lifetime of love, play, and puppy kisses.
This Giving Tuesday, please consider making a gift to help more animals like Gryffin. Your generosity gives vulnerable pets the medical treatment, nurturing care, and precious time they need to heal and find the loving homes they deserve.
Every gift can change a life. Every dollar you give will be doubled now through 11:59pm on December 1st - up to $100,000 - thanks to the Aqualia Foundation.
